Note that below the terrain type, you can choose the number of opponent tanks, this is a very useful option, since it will make the game much more challenging, the enemy tanks will try to destroy your tank and also the other tanks, you can choose up to five participants.
Before you start, don't forget to choose a different color for the tanks, and mark the second one as computer controlled, you can even choose both of them as computer controlled and watch them, to learn how to play the game.
Use the top toolbar to change your weapons, and activate features like the teleport or shields. If your tank will be hit, you might lose some power, and won't be able to shoot to sufficient distance, if this case, you can move your tank closer to the other tank, or use the "heal" option from the toolbar, to use this option, you should first buy some repair kits.

The tank game control are quite simple, you can use either the mouse, the keyboard, or both, if you use the mouse, click the buttons on the top panel to adjust the fire power, change weapons, and activate various features of the tank such as parachutes, teleport and repair.
The top panel also shows the weather conditions such as wind speed and direction, the game score for all the tanks, and money earned.
If you use the keyboard, press the arrow keys to move around, up and down to rotate the cannon, O and W to change weapons, page up and page down to adjust the power, and spacebar to fire.

Battlezone – Introduced in 1980's Battlezone is a game that attracted millions of fans from different parts of the world. Even though war games were common during those days, only few of them managed to attract a large audience and this game succeeded in achieving this goal.
There were a couple of innovative features that made Battlezone a favorite game among players. One of such features was the periscope view which is exactly how you can see from a battle tank. Battle tanks do not have a glass visor or windshield to view objects in front, as enemies can attack the tank operator through this place.
Instead, they use periscopes so that attacking the tank's cabin directly is not possible which serve the purpose of using tanks.

The tank game had an edge when it comes to visual appeal mainly because of the vector graphics used in the game. During those days, raster graphics was more popular and developing a vector based game demanded a lot of investment and patience. However, Atari decided to go ahead with their plans to release such a vector based version which turned out to be a tremendous success.
The game easily built a reputation for being a 'realistic' game which was not a common reputation for arcade games during that time period. This is because the game featured first person point of view and the player had goggles to look outside the tank. These features were revolutionary during that period and a version of Battlezone was used by United States Army for training soldiers.
It is said that the army version of Battlezone was not widely used but there is no clear statistics to back any sort of information related to the army version of the game. The game originally featured only battle tanks of enemies and the objective of the game was to shoot these tanks. However, due to the increased popularity the game makers decided to add even more objects to bring more joy to the game.
This is why they introduced UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) and other sort of enemy objects to the game. However, UFOs usually do not fire on player's tank but shooting them was a crucial factor for winning the game. The game had different point system based on the reputation of enemy tanks and the scoring can vary from 1,000 to 3,000 based on which tank you are shooting.

Like many popular arcade games, Battlezone was also introduced to personal computers started with MS-DOS based systems. These were later introduced on Mac but the popularity of the game made the makers think about introducing it to other game playing devices as well. The game's clone versions were introduced on several game playing devices which also received positive feedback. Arguably, Battlezone is one of the oldest games such as snake that enjoys good popularity among video game fans even after several decades of its release. This is why an Xbox version of the game was released in 2005 from Microsoft.
